Hat-trick hero Adrian Evans rescued the Wanderers with a last-gasp score to deny the unlucky Drovers. Speedster Evans climaxed a thrilling breakaway move by kicking through and gathering superbly to race over for his third and the winning try. Depleted Wanderers, with six regulars absent through injury, drew the curtain on the season after Garan Treharne converted with the last kick of a spectacular game.
But it was rough justice on the visitors, who overturned a half-time deficit to dominate play and build a winning lead until Evans pounced in sensational fashion.
It was Evans who set the standard, breaking through for a try in the opening minute. But the visitors responded through tries by Ioan Davies, hooker Andrew Jones and veteran lock Dai Giles.
Then Evans scored to give the Wanderers a one-point lead before Dave Kings and Rhys Gosling went over to set Llandovery on the winning trail. But Andy Arentsen crossed before Evans set the seal on a great recovery.
