Match Report

Llandovery 15 – 4 Bonymaen

Llandovery clinched their second section A win of the season in the first half hour of this clash with Bonymaen.

The forwards constantly pushed Bonymaen around and young half backs Carwyn and Aled Williams were then able to dictate matters behind the scrum.

Aled Williams gave Llandovery the lead when he scooped up the ball one handed and dived between the posts after a defensive error. He added the conversion points.

And later winger Eirian Jones took advantage of a good drive by Alun Thomas to grasp Llandovery’s second try. Williams again converted.

Bonymaen hit back with a try but Carwyn Williams put Llandovery out of reach when he slotted an angled penalty.

Noel Page and Wyn Williams dominated the lineouts and Eddie Morris and Elfyn Jenkins were lively around the fringes of the pack.
