EXTENSION TO THE SEASON
The WRU have extended the regular season by 10 days – to April 20 as clubs have a number of extra fixtures to fit in after the bad weather of recent weeks.
Llandovery have re-arranged games to fit in at Bedwas, Carmarthen and also the home fixture against Pontypridd
SUPPORTERS
The newly formed Llandovery RFC Supporters club has appointed officers in Clayton Griffiths, Sally Griffiths and Jade Clarke.

U18 INTERNATIONALS
All the games at the U18 Festival involving Wales, England, Ireland, Scotland and Italy will be played at Church Bank in early April.
The excellent work and pitch care of groundsman Roger James has been rewarded with three whole days of internationals on April 2 (England v Ireland and Scotland v Italy), April 6 (Wales v Ireland and Scotland v England) and April 10 (Wales v Italy and Scotland v Ireland).
SCARLET TRANSFER
Scarlets centre Gareth Maule has been transferred to Llandovery for the rest of the season.
Another new recruit is Llandovery College pupil and U18 Welsh international three-quarter George North.
COMPETITION
It is not too late to enter the club’s Six Nations competition where you have to forecast the scores of all 15 Six Nations Rugby match.
There is a prize of £200 for the winner and also three bottles of wine for each weekend of the competition.
Forms - available from Gareth Salt or Clayton Griffiths - must be completed and handed in by 2.30pm on Sat 6th February 2010. Entry cost is £5.
INSPECTION
The Church Bank pitch was inspected by the WRU who were warm in praise of the work of Head Groundsman Roger James and assistants Dai Evans and Idris Morton.
The Church Bank surface is now recognised as one of the very best in Wales
TAG RUGBY
Plans are afoot to hold a national and international tag rugby festival at Church Bank in early August.
Club President Phil Davies – was there ever a harder working hands-on President? – is busy finalising arrangements before details are released.
