The good news for the Drovers is that all but one of last year’s regulars have now signed on for another year at Church Bank.
Centre Rhys Williams is off to France but scrum-half Gareth James over whom there was some doubt has committed himself to Llandovery under new head coach Lyndon Lewis.
Two new centres in ex-Swansea and Llanelli player Matthew Brayley and Adam Warren will challenge for the midfield positions. Warren has signed from Llangennech and joins flanker Lawrence Reynolds, the captain of the outstanding Coleg Sir Gar, Llanelli side that won the Welsh Schools Cup, league and seven a side titles last year. Both are well known to Llandovery’s new assistant coach Euros Evans who is rugby coach at Coleg Sir Gar
Alun Wyn Davies the ex Swansea, Coventry and Tonmawr loose head prop has signed as has Llangennech hooker Greg George who turned out for the Drovers at the end of last season. Mumbles and Swansea University wing Gbemie Fisher – a real, speed merchant - will add further strength to the exciting Llandovery back line.
