Llandovery RFC Go Green

Under the headline ‘Llandovery RFC Go Green’ the WRU website has published an interview with Drovers’ Chairman Handel Davies about the proposed installation of a power generating wind turbine at Church Bank.

This equipment would be an exciting new development to complement the existing solar panels which already help provide the clubhouse with heated water.

As the initial stage an anemometer has been installed at the southern end of the ground, to assess the strength of the wind which local supporters are very used to experiencing from the Towy valley. If the readings from the anemometer are sufficient then funding will need to be found to install the generator itself.
